Role overview

Dhruva Space is looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Inventory Associate to join our team. The hired candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining inventory levels, ensuring accuracy in stock counts, and contributing to the Inventory & Procurement Department in ordering and restocking supplies.

This role, located at the Company’s Headquarters in Hyderabad, provides the opportunity to gain vital experience and knowledge of the Inventory & Procurement processes, as well as the opportunity to work with one of India’s leading private Space companies.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain accurate stock records and inventory levels;
  • Perform regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies;
  • Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or overages;
  • Ensure proper labeling and storage of inventory items;
  • Assist in placing orders for new stock and replenishments;
  • Work closely with courier and transportation services to ensure timely and efficient delivery and receipt of goods;
  • Verify received shipments against purchase orders and resolve any discrepancies;
  • Oversee the receipt and dispatch of goods, ensuring all procedures are followed correctly;
  • Liaise with other Departments to facilitate stock transfers and address any inventory-related issues;
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods;
  • Conduct perpetual inventory counts to ensure inventory accuracy and integrity;
  • Perform visual inspections of incoming stock to identify damages and raise claims as necessary;
  • Maintain complete and accurate records of stock movements, including BIN entries for stock inward;
  • Ensure all stock is stored according to company stacking norms and space management principles;
  • Update and maintain the inventory management system with accurate data; and
  • Generate and analyse inventory reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field;
  • 1-3 years of experience in inventory management, procurement, or a related role;
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook);
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to collaborate with different teams;
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities;
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy;
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; and
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP and Tally).
