Role overview and responsibilities:

Dhruva Space is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Associate – Production Planning and Control to optimize manufacturing operations and supply chain efficiency. This role is key to ensuring seamless production workflows, timely execution, and operational excellence in a fast-paced Space technology environment.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize production schedules based on customer orders, production capacity, and inventory levels to ensure timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with production managers, procurement teams, and inventory control personnel to allocate resources effectively and prioritize production activities.
  • Monitor production progress and analyze data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Ensure that all manufactured parts comply with quality standards and specifications.
  • Coordinate First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 standards.
  • Work closely with vendors to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and components.
  • Verify that vendors are certified to the AS9100 standard.
  • Maintain accurate records of production schedules, inventory levels, costs, and quality control metrics.
  • Prepare reports for management review.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the production planning function.
  • Propose and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.

Candidate requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in production planning and control within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of production planning principles, quality control standards (AS9102), and vendor management.
  • Proficiency in using ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
