Role overview and responsibilities

Dhruva Space is seeking a passionate Geospatial Business Analyst-Intern to work closely with regulatory bodies, clients, and technical teams in developing satellite imagery-based solutions. This hands-on role provides a unique opportunity to explore the intersection of remote sensing technology, business development, and regulatory compliance in the geospatial sector. As an intern, you will engage in real-world applications of satellite imagery and contribute to innovative projects within the Space industry.

Responsbilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of satellite imagery-based proposals tailored to clients' specific needs.
  • Collaborate with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with geospatial guidelines and imagery sales regulations.
  • Work closely with business-oriented stakeholders to gather project requirements and define objectives.
  • Support technical teams in analyzing satellite imagery and developing advanced geospatial solutions.
  • Leverage tools such as Python, Google Earth Engine (GEE), PostGIS, AI, ML, and GIS software to perform data analysis and visualization.
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations, contributing insights and enhancing your understanding of client interactions.
  • Adapt quickly to new tools, technologies, and methodologies relevant to project management in the geospatial domain.
  • Engage in continuous learning to stay updated with geospatial regulations, best practices, and emerging technologies.

Candidate requirements
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geoinformatics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • A solid understanding of remote sensing principles and geospatial technologies.
  • Proficiency in Python, Google Earth Engine (GEE), and PostGIS.
  • Familiarity with GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or other image-processing tools.
  • Exposure to AI and ML algorithms applied to geospatial analysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A team player who is eager to learn, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel for client engagements if needed.
